Don’t look back, don’t look or you’ll lose everything forever, gone, in a burst of sulphur dragged back into the abyss to fade and decay to an empty carcass wandering without thought or memory. Don’t look back, don’t look, you’ll lose everything. But you itch you squirm to glance, to peek to remember what was, to walk into the future blinded by the happy light of the past. the more you stare, the more you try to see that light the darker it gets imperfect, it fades recedes back through the cave pale and sickly dying dragging you down into the pit where all is dark the light is gone the abyss remains a gaping black hole to swallow it all swallow what? There’s nothing left. All love, all lust all gone it has crushed you all to dust. Where is your soul? I told you not to look back.
